• vé·ri·té (french): truth

Our name is inspired by Cinema Vérité, the genre of filmmaking characterized by realistic, typically documentary motion pictures that avoid artificiality and artistic effect and are generally made with simple equipment so as to convey candid realism emphasizing realism and naturalism.

We are Justin Runquist and Kristy Walker, and we are photojournalists converted to wedding documentarians and contemporary portrait photographers. Our goal is to heed our name and show the wedding day as a story that conveys the true emotions and unique aspects of each wedding.

We are going South of the Equator!

Studio Vérité Photography is beyond excited to announce that we are going to be shooting a wedding at the end of March in Mendoza, Argentina at the Septima Winery! Both Justin and I love shooting destination weddings. Over the past few years we have traveled throughout the continental Unites States, Maui, Mexico, Poland, and India to shoot destination weddings. They have all been amazing and special but all have been shot solo by either Justin or me. It  has been quite a journey for Justin and I who first met at a party for photojournalists years ago. Our first conversation was all about travel and our pre-career, carefree travels throughout Southeast Asia and Europe. We never could have dreamed then that our wedding photography, not our photojournalist careers, would take us across the world. We look forward to teaming up and shooting in Argentina and sharing that experience here with our photos!
