Once again I got to shoot a DIY wedding that blew my mind! How all the little details were dreamed up, created and pulled off - I have no idea. But Jessie and Doug’s wedding was a photographer’s (my) dream come true. It was a hippie-chic-vintage stylized wedding set in a lush, hilly, and green part of San Diego. But what made it really unique was the use of different recycled thrift store and antique chairs, picture frames, sculptures, as the decor. Sometimes it is the location, and sometimes it is the location you create. This wedding had it all: location, atmosphere, and a charismatic bride and groom who are obviously naturals in front of the camera. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Jessie and Doug for just being you and giving me so many photos. The day was love and laughter and great food and good music, too. I also have to give tremendous props to my second shooter this day, Jenna Kageyama, who really took a lot of wonderful photos.
