Hello. We are Justin Runquist and Kristy Walker. In 2007 we transitioned from newspaper photojournalists to wedding photojournalists, and formed Studio Verite Photography. We traded our boots and cargo pants for dress shoes and suits. We once trained our lenses on dramatic news scenes, politicians, and sports stars. Now we chronicle the beauty, happiness, and hilarity that condenses itself in a wedding day. And although the subject matter has changed, the importance of making photos that are beautiful, revealing, telling, and evocative remains. Since 2007 we have photographed hundreds of couple's weddings and engagements.
The term vérité is French for "truth." It's our goal to make photographs with truthful and honest character that also possess a distinct style and vision.
Our goal is to capture the whole and unique story of each individual wedding day. Our task is simple. We want to have fun, capture wonderful and real moments, and provide you with a wonderful portfolio of wedding images, that tells the story of your day. At the end of the day we want you to feel that having us around was as easy as hanging out with a friend - who happened to deliver the best photos you could have possibly imagined.
Over the past decade as newspaper photojournalists turned wedding photographers, our work has brought us to plan and execute photo shoots in Mexico, India, Argentina, Poland and throughout the US.
Our images have been awarded and acknowledged by the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) and Brides Magazine and their wedding photography have been featured on Style Me Pretty, and the pages of InStyle Magazine, Free People blog.

Dear Justin and Kristy,
Thank you for your professionalism, dedication and focus to get the best of Lu-Carrie’s event.
It was a pleasure to have both of you in Argentina, and being part of our family best memories.
The moments and feeling exposed during the days we spend in Mendoza and capture by your lenses, it’s a memorable and remarkable experience that will leave in our family hearts forever.
Thank you and hoping to see both of you maybe in MI for an Argentino-American “asado, during summer

Carrie and Lu,
Congratulations and happiness on your life together.
We were sorry that we could not be present at your beautiful
cerimony. But Lu´s Grandma is almost 99 years old, and could
not take such a long trip. We cannot travel without her…
But, we are very happy for both of you and your families.
God bless you, now and in your future.
With all our LOVE,
Grandma Nenén, Beth & Chico
